It's Okay To Reset Your Goals

I used the remaining 15 days of 2022 to reset my 2022 goals and nothing bad happened.

On paper I didn't achieve the all the goals I set for 2022.

Don't get me wrong, my team and I tried our best to hit the 20% MRR growth and associated user growth and app growth metrics.

We smashed our partnership revenue growth.

We not only launched a brand new website, but a new brand and product update. Which was no light task considering most of the team had never done something like this before. Granted, it took us a few more months longer than we had planned but you live and you learn.

But then, I left the company. And realized my goals were so intertwined with my role.

My goals were based on historic data within the box I'd be living in.

Now, let me be clear... there is nothing wrong with that. Most of us use the data we have at the time to make the best assessment.

But yesterday it hit me, I still had time to revise my goals for 2022.

So I am. And with 15 days left in the year, I'm already smashing some of those goals.

Likewise, they are setting the stage for aggressive goal setting for 2023.

At least one of them is something that I never imagined in my wildest dreams. But more on that later.

My advice, don't just dream big.

Dream about things that seem too crazy to be a possibility. They may be impossible, but if you try to achieve them you'll be surprised what you discover.
